Excel Importer/Continia Document Capture Connector

The Customer Remittance import functionality in our the Excel Importer app automates applying your cash receipts to your customers' open transactions. However, most statements are received as PDF. This app connects the Excel Import Customer Remittance feature with Continia Document Capture to enable you to use PDF files as a source for your customer remittances. The app includes the following features:

  • Default setup for the REMITTANCE document category.
  • It provides the necessary logic to transfer remittance lines from Continia Document Registration to the Excel Importer Customer Remittance Line table.
Important
  • This app is a per-tenant extension that is available free of charge but you will require active subscriptions to both the Excel Importer and Continia Document Capture apps.
  • In order to use this app, you must have knowledge of Continia Document Capture and Excel Importer.
  • You can download the app using this link subject to the following terms and conditions.
  • You must first test this app in a Sandbox environment before using it in a Production environment.

Setup​

After installing the extension, you must set up the Continia Document Capture configuration. This is done by running the Continia Document Capture Assisted Setup Wizard. The setup can be downloaded as a Continia Document Capture XML configuration file.

The app raises a notification when it detects that the Continia Document Capture configuration is missing from the current company. The notifications are raised in the following areas:

  • A notification is raised in the role centre when the config is missing from the current company. You can download the file and start the Document Capture Assisted Setup Wizard.
  • The same notification will be raised when you open the document categories.
  • On the Document Capture Assisted Setup Wizard, a notification is raised when you open the page, and you can download the file if you do not already have it.

The notifications are only ever raised in companies where Document Capture has been configured. If you have Document Capture configured in a company but you do not want to configure this connector in the company, you can turn off the notifications.
