Advanced License Plating for Tasklet

Advanced License Plating for Tasklet extends the standard Tasklet Mobile WMS license plate processes in Business Central. It adds stronger traceability, validation, and transaction support so warehouse users can manage license plates with greater control and confidence. The app was built to help businesses meet strict traceability requirements, particularly in food industry scenarios where accurate license plate history and product movement tracking are critical.

What the app adds

This app enhances Tasklet license plating with the following capabilities:

  • Support strict traceability requirements, including food industry use cases.
  • Retain License Plate Entries as an audit trail to improve traceability.
  • Add validation to protect the integrity of license plate tracking during transactions.
  • Support license plate transactions across both Tasklet Mobile WMS and Business Central.
  • Keep license plate content, warehouse entries, and license plate entries aligned during posting.
  • Provide cleanup and management behaviour for license plates, their contents, and hierarchy relationships.

License plate handling

  • Create and maintain license plates tied to warehouse activity and warehouse journal posting.
  • Assign license plates to Tasklet-driven warehouse processes such as picks, movements, inventory movements, receipts, and put-aways.
  • Move, validate, and report on license plates in Business Central.

Move License Plate scenarios

  • Support full license plate scans.
  • Support partial scans with and without line split.
  • Move inventory into a new license plate or an existing destination license plate.
  • Reassign parent-child license plate relationships during movement.
  • Validate registered license plate data before posting.

Hierarchy and content control

  • Support parent-child license plate structures.
  • Track both direct parent and ancestor parent relationships.
  • Reassign child license plates when inventory is moved between parent structures.
  • Clean up empty hierarchy records and zero-quantity content during posting.

Quantity and content management

  • Handle positive and negative adjustments through warehouse and item posting flows.
  • Merge and clean up license plate content.
  • Automatically clean up zero-quantity content and delete empty license plates where applicable.
  • Support strip-bin behaviour where temporary destination license plates are consumed during posting.

Administration and cleanup

  • Support counting and adjustment processes for license plates.
  • Queue cleanup of empty license plates and related records until posting is complete.
  • Include administrative utilities for content merge and cleaner processes.

Notes on deletion behaviour

  • Empty license plates can be deleted when they have no active relationships.
  • Deletion is performed as part of the posting cleanup process rather than immediately when quantity reaches zero.
  • This delayed cleanup helps ensure all related posting logic finishes before hierarchy and content cleanup runs.

Licensing and availability

  • The app is licensed with Essentials and Premium options.
  • Production features are available in the Premium option.
  • The app supports both the Essentials and Premium editions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • The app is supported in all countries where Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is available.
  • Available languages include English, German, Dutch, French, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Danish, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Chinese locales.
