License Plate Print Log

The License Plate Print Log is part of "Advanced Production - Tasklet" extension and it keeps an audit trail of when a license plate's label was printed, so the system can tell whether a license plate has already been labelled and avoid printing a duplicate label for it.

Where to find it​

Open the Mobile License Plate page and look at the No. Printed field. This shows how many log entries exist for that license plate. Drilling down on No. Printed opens the License Plate Print Log list, filtered to that license plate, showing every logged print with its date/time, user, printer, label template and printing mode.

When a log record is created​

A record is only inserted into the License Plate Print Log in these specific situations:

  1. Report 60401 "Print License Plate_APT_TSL" (from the Advanced Production - Tasklet extension) is executed — whether run manually or automatically as part of the Warehouse Receipt posting routine.

  2. Report 51403 "Print License Plate_TSL" (from the Hellers - Labels extension) is printed

  3. When a license plate is created when posting finished good output with the Hierarchical Output option selected. In this case the log entry does not represent a label sent from a printer node — it marks that the license plate will be labelled manually on the factory floor, so it should be treated as printed. These entries are flagged with Hierarchical Output = Yes on the log.

Note: If a license plate label is printed through any other functionality or report, no log record is created. Only the two triggers above write to this log.

Effect on automatic printing after Warehouse Receipt posting​

Once a License Plate Print Log record exists for a license plate, that license plate is considered already printed. The automatic label printing that runs after a Receipt or an Advanced Receipt is posted will skip it, and will not print another label for that pallet or carton license plate. This prevents duplicate labels for license plates that have already been printed or will be labelled manually through hierarchical output.
