Admin Hub - BC Center
You can read the Microsoft help if you want to update this app to the latest version and are not sure how to do this. We have also created this animation to show you how.
Important
- Do not update apps while users are working, as it can cause a disruption and loss of work.
- It is always best to install updates in a Sandbox first and test them to ensure no adverse effects.
28.0.0.0
Changed
- Managed Tenants list: now sorted by name by default; name column moved before the ID.
- Managed Tenants list: Sandbox to Update and Production to Update columns now show the count of environments of each type that have an upcoming update scheduled, replacing the previous unclear boolean checkboxes. These columns are backed by new integer fields
SandboxToUpdate_TSL/ProductionToUpdate_TSL; the former booleanSandboxUpdated_TSL/ProductionUpdated_TSLfields are obsoleted (pending) and will be removed in a future major version. - Requests list: added a Tenant column showing the tenant name.
- Connection Tenants list: added Tenant Name column; raw GUID column hidden.
- Operations list: added Tenant column showing the tenant name.
- Apps list (per environment): Available Update Action and related update fields are now correctly reset on each refresh. Previously, values like "Update Scheduled" could persist after an update completed.
Fixed
- Opening Admin Center for a tenant no longer throws "Standard format number 4 does not exist for the type 'Text'". The Tenant ID is now passed directly to the URL instead of through
Format(), which is not valid for theTexttype.
Changed
- Managed Tenants list: the default row-level delete is now disabled. An explicit Delete Tenant action has been added with a confirmation dialog that warns the user all environments and app families for that tenant will also be permanently removed.
- Apps list: added Published As column showing how each app was published (Global, PTE, or Dev).
- Apps list: Refresh action now runs immediately with a "Refreshing app list, please wait..." progress dialog — the previous confirmation prompt and background polling have been removed. The same dialog is shown on page open when Refresh on Open is enabled.
- Environments list: Refresh action now shows a "Refreshing environments, please wait..." progress dialog and updates immediately, consistent with the Apps list behaviour.
Fixed
- Apps list: duplicate rows for the same app are no longer shown when an update is in progress. Previously, the BC Admin Center API returning both an "updating" entry (old version) and an "installed" entry (new version) would result in two rows for the same app. The older version record is now removed before the current version is written.
Added
- Managed Environments: added an Archived action (also available from Managed Tenants) to view environments that have been deleted for a tenant, including when each was archived and its preserved Notes.
Fixed
- System Notes attached to an environment are no longer lost when the environment is deleted. A guard originally added to stop users editing/deleting environment notes was also unintentionally blocking the platform's own cleanup during deletion, causing the archive step to fail whenever a note was present.
Fixed
- "My Managed Environment Scheduled For Update" Role Center chart: clicking a Week or Month column no longer opens an empty environment list. The drill-down date range was incorrectly collapsed to a single point in time instead of spanning the full period.
1.0.3.0 2026-05-20
Changed
- Handled breaking changes for Business Central 2026 Wave 1
1.0.2.0
Fixed
- CancelScheduledAppUpdate now does not throw an error
1.0.1.0
Changed
- Moved "Import Tenants" functionality from Tenant list to Connection list
Fixed
- Clicking the
UpdateActionfield on the Apps list no longer throws "An invalid argument was passed to a 'List' data type method". The AppId was incorrectly extracted from path segment index 9 (out of bounds for an 8-segment path); corrected to index 7. - Cancelling a scheduled app update no longer silently uses the literal string
cancelas the AppId. The same incorrect index 9 was applied to the cancel path; corrected to index 7. - Opening the "My Active Environments" view on the Managed Environments page no longer throws "The length of the string is X, but it must be less than or equal to 36 characters". The
%mytenantsfilter token resolves to a pipe-separated list of GUIDs which exceeded theText[36]field limit; the single-tenant refresh and caption logic is now skipped when a multi-value filter is detected.
